Illegal immigration was never an actual problem

"It’s important to remember that despite all the saber-rattling, the current approach to immigration is deeply flawed and is built to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. It certainly doesn’t make us safer or more economically secure, as Cathy points out below: "
- Sam Spencer

Back in October, I published ICE agents aren’t masculine. They’re bullies. Those were the halcyon days when ICE agents were just shoving scared wives and old men to the ground on camera.

As far as I can tell, no one has held anyone accountable for breaking a 79-year-old man’s ribs.

Who could have predicted that hiring thousands of agents with no background checks, giving them barely any training, sending them into communities where they’re not wanted, and making it extremely clear to them that they would never be held accountable for any violence they perpetrate would lead to them escalating from hurting people with no remorse to increasingly murdering folks, in cold blood, on camera?

Indeed, who would have thought that allowing Jonathan Ross to murder Renee Good in broad daylight, on camera, with zero consequences, would have emboldened other ICE officers to murder more innocent people in broad daylight on camera? Ross killed Good despite the fact that she was unarmed. She was, according to many eyewitnesses and from every recorded angle, obeying orders to the best of her ability and she posed no threat to any officer.

After the state murdered her, the DOJ social media accounts, DOJ head Pam Bondi, and Vice President JD Vance all lied about Renee Good and her murder. Bondi directed her office to investigate Good’s widow, but not the officer who shot her at point blank range and then refused to allow medical professionals to render aid until she died in her Honda Pilot, surrounded by her kids’ toys.

We don’t know how many people ICE agents have murdered or allowed to die in custody. We know ICE has stopped paying for medical care for detainees. We know at least one ICE agent has admitted to raping a detained mother. The officer reportedly told his victim that she could see her daughter if she didn’t try to fight him.

We know that at least six prosecutors and at least one FBI agent have quit rather than follow illegal and immoral orders in the wake of the murder.

We now have our second instance of an ICE agent murdering a white citizen who posed zero threat to anyone on camera in broad daylight.

Alex Pretti’s body is barely cold, and already the admin is lying again.

I just think it bears repeating, at this time and always, that illegal immigration was never an actual problem. Illegal aliens commit fewer crimes than native-born Americans, on average. They create more jobs and boost native-born wages, on average.

Every good reason one might have to worry about the fertility rate – lost dynamism, slow economic growth – is an even better reason to increase immigration. Except, unlike babies, the immigrants help us immediately instead of 18-25 years later.

Murdering native-born white citizens, a mother and a VA nurse, so far, to solve a problem that is not only not a problem but is actually really important and beneficial, is so… the word that comes to mind is self-defeating.

This word is accurate enough, but fails to convey the extent or the gravity.

It’s not even a metaphor. The US is literally shrinking without immigration. We’re dying faster than we’re being born. Americans are going extinct. We had one bright spot, one reason for hope. It was the fact that people born elsewhere still wanted to come here for a better life. They wanted to live as we lived and worship as we worshiped and work as we worked. We had two hundred years of experience integrating immigrants fully within two generations. These immigrants still believed in the American Dream. And now, because native-born rural losers stopped believing in it, a nation at an inflection point has let those on the wrong end of an increasingly K-shaped society choose self-immolation for everyone rather than continue to tolerate watching the top-half get richer while they fail to form stable families.

Listen, guys, you already won. We’re at net negative migration for the first time in half a century.

What is to be gained by continuing?

This shit isn’t even popular.

If ICE raids are about “the worst of the worst,” why are you detaining children? Why do only 5% of detainees have a criminal record?

If this is about “real Americans,” why take a giant shit on everything that makes America different? We don’t have blood-and-soil nationalism here. Hereditary lines do not determine an individual’s destiny. We don’t let the King’s men go door-to-door looking for brown people to arrest. We don’t let masked thugs force us to show them our papers. That’s the whole fucking point. That’s always been the whole fucking point.

If this is about catching the most illegals, why deploy ICE to regions with lower percentages of illegal immigrants than the national average? Why not send the calvary to the hotspots?

If this is about jobs, why have mass deportations depressed the native-born employment rate?

Far be it from me to try to mind-read here, or anytime, but it sure seems like something else is going on. It sure looks like there’s some other reason or reasons for what ICE and the DOJ are doing here. The math, as they say, isn’t mathing.
