Thank you Cathy. One thing I have come to understand about my weight management is avoiding all crinkly packages containing industrial sugars, starches and hydrogenated fats. Keeping your insulin surges down prevents hunger pangs and the ugly side of the insulin roller coaster. I have managed to drop 40 pounds myself this year by avoiding all foods that contain a group of plant proteins called lectins. This excludes sugar, almost all grains, new world vegetables and meat that has been fed corn or soy. It reduces all inflammations in my body and reduces stress as a result.

I really wanted to go into high-glycemic index foods and blood sugar so bad but it was already so long. But totally. Sugar is absolute poison. If I had a kid I’d be much more mad at them for eating a lot of sugar than for doing cocaine.
