Yesterday, we asked why organizations with more women at the top tend to outperform orgs with wang-heavier leadership teams.
Some of the evidence indicates that women do indeed lead better than men on average and that an organization can improve performance merely by replacing a few men at the top with women.
However, some of the evidence points in the opposite direction. Perhaps a company can’t improve performance merely by promoting more women. Maybe other factors explain the advantage having more women at the top confers.
