Men and boys are falling behind at every level educationally though the gender wage gap persists. I think we need to make a stronger effort to keep boys in school, especially Black and Latino boys, who have the biggest gap.
Men in general need to take better care of themselves. Self destructive behavior of all men at all ages is higher than for women.

“…encourage single men to behave more like single women. To use the parlance of our times, they should lean into self-care.”
I don’t think you can say this enough. There are obviously many factors over which you have no control. One that you do (to some extent at least) is personal behavior. It’s hard to change habits but there are clear strategies for how to do so.
Living a healthy lifestyle is one in which making even small changes in the near term can repeat big results in the long term.
It’s harder, but if men can change their mindset about the more toxic aspects of masculinity they could also reap even bigger benefits.
I read a lot about the growing political divide and how it's separating men and women because men are getting more conservative and women more liberal, by and large. In more and more surveys, we see people saying they won't date/be friends with/be in the same room as someone on the opposite end of the political spectrum. Even family is no longer exempted to a lot of people. I mention it because you talk about related social and economic issues but less about the purely political divide. And while 10-20 years ago the "political divide" was overblown and kind of a media-fueled sideshow, I'd argue that now it is has crossed the threshold into dominant interpersonal issue that can no longer be written off.
