My post Sex and gender are different. And it matters was a little hard-to-follow. This newsletter is where I try to make sense out of things. My writing immediately gives away how well I understand whatever I’m writing about, as the fiercely intelligent and insanely talented Rachel Burger once told me while editing my content marketing writing for Capterra. I consider this a compliment. There’s something honest about it. Some people *cough* Jordan Peterson *cough* write the same way whether or not they understand whatever they’re on about.
I’m grateful that my very imperfect post still elicited some thought-provoking comments. I wanted to address a few of them here, along with an exploration of an idea one of them sparked about the relationship between sex and gender and whether and to what extent it’s analogous to the relationship between skin color and race.
