It took an hour and a half and one wine glass didn’t make it, but the kitchen is finally clean post-brunch.

I understand why people don’t have other people, especially new people, over that often. But I kept hearing in my books and podcasts about these couples who would throw these wonderful parties and meet people and connect other people and I wanted to be like that. Besides, I’m still relatively new to town. I need to meet people. I can’t afford to take them out. Plus, I already keep a very clean house for mental health reasons. And we’re fairly centrally located.
