What do I want to say about the Democratic National Convention?
Let’s begin with what it is. Historically, the DNC has been where delegates from all 50 states gather to cast their votes for who they want the Democrats to run for President.
Today, the party has already chosen a nominee and VP by the time the DNC rolls around. So, in practice, it’s both a pep rally to excite the base and a commercial for the ticket aimed at undecideds who watch the livestream and/or get the recaps later.
