My parents were good, actually

I feel conflicted about writing this post.

On the one hand, no one wants to hear about how my parents were (and are) okay. First, because “okay” is boring. Second, insert quote from miserable Russian about how interesting happy families are here.

It’s probably something I should email them directly instead. But that’s way too intimate.

On the other hand, this is my newsletter and I will be boring and tedious in it if I want to.
