I was so mad when I saw the buzz for More: A Memoir of an Open Marriage. I seethed with jealousy. I had an open relationship. Why wasn’t I a bestselling author? I saw author Molly Roden Winter profiled in the New York Times and thought, well of course NYT readers see more of themselves in a wealthy, hetero, married Brooklynite than in a southern queer sex worker. I felt better. Also, there was the small matter of her having actually written her memoir.
