Yesterday I was laid off from my full-time job as Head of Content at Clockwise. I’d appreciate any leads on writing/editing roles, particularly in marketing and/or advocacy.
My resume
I have 14 years of professional writing and editing experience. I’ve been published widely, including in the Daily Beast, VICE Motherboard, OneZero, the Week, Newsweek, the Huffington Post, Talking Points Memo, and other publications. I’ve also written content that drives traffic and leads for brands, especially in the B2B space.
My television appearances include Fox Business and Al-Jazeera America. I’ve also guested on many podcasts. My public speaking appearances include Georgetown University and many other international conferences.

So sorry to hear that you’ve been laid off. A lot of talented people like you are going through this process or will soon. I hope your other income streams will tide you over until another position comes along.
It seems like the tech industry is in a panic right now and some of these layoffs are not entirely a rational reaction to their own numbers. There’s always a certain amount of essentially “monkey see, monkey do.”
I'm so sorry it's happened you, and it's definitely their loss.
I was laid off late last year after coming back from my friends' wedding. It wasn't that big of a shocker, given the way I was treated and gaslit.
