After writing Rape in sex-positive feminist spaces I thought, what if there’s an easy solution and I just don’t know about it? I’ll ask Kitty.

Kitty Stryker has published three books on consent:

  1. Ask: Building Consent Culture

  2. Ask Yourself: The Consent Culture Workbook

  3. Say More: Consent Conversations for Teens

She’s also an anarchist activist, former sex worker, and queer femme located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her freelance writing has appeared in Teen Vogue, Vice, Rolling Stone, and other fine outlets.

Kitty was incredibly generous with her time for me. She gave me one 45-minute prep call and then two recorded 45-minute chats, available in one video below.

TL;DW, there is no easy solution to rape in any space. But there are better and worse ways to handle and prevent it. I hope you enjoy our conversation half as much as I did.
