I’m trying a new thing: Sex and the State subscriber chat.

I get the vast majority of my readers from Twitter and I’m definitely concerned with what’s going to happen there. I’m on Discord, Mastadon, Reddit, Facebook, and Insta but each has its pros and cons and none of them compare with Twitter at the moment.

To join, download the Substack app. You might want to turn on push notifications because Substack sends messages through the app, not email. (But also protect your mental bandwidth!)

How to get started

1. Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Chat is only on iOS for now, but chat is coming to the Android app soon.

2. Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.

3. That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
