My friend told me he loves Garry Wills, so I read one of his books. I figured I’d start with the one that won the Pulitzer. It was fine. Then, I read Nixon Agonistes: The Crisis of the Self-Made Man. I’m almost done.
“This man hates liberalism,” I told Rob recently. But now, I’m not so sure. I remember when I was a more doctrinaire libertarian, when I wanted to be the libertarian Ann Coulter (get paid to pontificate, look great in a pencil skirt), I always found that the best haters of libertarians were other libertarians.
