Welcome to Sex and the State, a newsletter about power. I’m a writer working on decriminalizing and destigmatizing all things sex. I use evidence and stories to interrogate existing power structures to propose better ways of relating. To support my work, buy a guide, buy a subscription, follow me on OnlyFans, or just share this post!
~~~~~
I wrote and published my first guide! If you’re a paid subscriber, you’ll get another email with the text free.
For everyone else, please buy my guide, 3 Steps to Better Boinking. It’s 16 pages of pure brilliance for only $10.
If you’re on the fence about becoming a paid subscriber to Sex and the State, I plan to write a lot more of these guides. I’m working on my second right now, about how to talk dirty. And I plan to share them with my paid subscribers for free. So if you end up buying all of them, it might end up being cheaper to pay to subscribe to the newsletter. The audio versions will be $20 and if I share those free it’ll definitely be cheaper to pay to subscribe to this newsletter.
About the guide:
Many, if not most, sex guides focus primarily on what to do with your body parts during sex. This guide is different in that I’m focused mostly on the brain. I’ve written it that way first because I think there’s a paucity of information on that aspect of sex. And also because I think it’s the most important aspect of sex, by far. It’s a guide I wish I’d been able to read many years ago.
Because everyone has a brain, and everyone can have sex, I’ve written it for all genders, orientations, physical abilities, and lack thereof.
Here’s what people are saying:
“I feel like I need to give this to anyone I ever have the potential to have sex with. Truly! Everyone needs to read it.”
“So far (and you know how fast I read) I love ❤️ it and would highly recommend it to anyone. You’re not charging enough. But hey 👋 You’re feeling your way! I look forward to you charging more. It’s important information that’s well written. You done good 👍”
“I enjoyed your book, will apply your tips in the future!”
“That 'booklet' is wonderful - kind, compassionate, open, informative. I really love your approach. Clear, non-judgmental. Really terrific. We should discuss the illustrated version...😘🥰🙏”
“Fucking fantastic. Extremely well written: nice combination of the inimitable Cathy voice and serious scholarship voice. Terrific information and even better advice. A good book/essay but more significantly, an important one. You will help people. Truly!”
This is good stuff, Cathy. Thank you so much for the work you're doing!
Sounds great [particularly for the unsexy times in which we now seem to be living.] I look forward to reading it.
