I am not one of those marketers (mournfully)

“The right number of deaths is not zero.”

This is what I said this week at the progressive happy hour, right before the proverbial record scratch sound.

Last week, at another progressive happy hour, it happened right after I said about Alabama’s increasing likelihood of expanding Medicaid: “The one good thing about Republicans going fascist is that now they care about poor whites.”

It’s a good thing I do yoga, considering how often my foot ends up in my mouth.

For most people, this is a symptom of a lack of filter. Not me.
