Getting back to my Diaryland roots

Before I went full-time on this, I didn’t want to depend on you, my babies, for my income. Well, depending on you, specifically, would have been great. But I didn’t want to end up adding to the culture war ginning hot take industrial complex to draw in new subs.

I think I overestimated my appetite for money, power, and fame. Or at least my energy for pursuing them. I simply cannot be bothered to grift.

I would like for this newsletter to reach a few more people. I have an ego and two cats to feed. I would take a tad more money, power, and fame, if it didn’t cost me too much time, energy, or bits of my soul.

Thus, I do pay a smidge of attention to which posts get me more money, eyeballs, and conversation.
