Authoritarians and the games they play

I have so much more to say about democracy, demographics, power, and Evangelical Christianity.

But I want to take a second to define my terms.

One of my big hobbyhorses is that “left” and “right” are leftover from the French Revolution and don’t make sense anymore (if they ever did) as the big ideological poles in contemporary US politics.

For us, the most important ideological spectrum is “liberal” vs “authoritarian.”
