Inside me are two wolves. Are you tired of this yet? I’m kinda loving beating it into the ground. Besides, I’m writing this on my birthday. I’m 38 years young, if you must know. So perhaps you’ll indulge me, my sweet babies, even more than usual.
One is very, very patient. The other could charitably be described as having “a bias toward action.” Success disproportionately goes, I think, to the people who act as if they cannot wait but keep going when it turns out they must.
I had a vision many months ago. I wanted to meet the most interesting people in Huntsville. The movers and shakers. The thinkers. Efficacious motherfuckers. The most efficient way I could think of was to host a podcast and invite them to come on as guests.
But there was so much in the way. I didn’t want to learn the tech side. I didn’t have a good topic. “Huntsville politics” was too broad, too election-oriented. It would require so many hours to research guests, invite them, coordinate schedules, record, promote, etc. And it wouldn’t make any money – certainly not at first. Maybe never.
